Healthier lives through longevity science, policy and education.

Mission

We exist to help everyone live longer, healthier lives by accelerating rigorous longevity science, through policy, partnerships and public education.

The majority of ill health and deaths globally are caused by diseases like cancer and dementia that become much more common with age. We now know that we can develop medicines to slow the ageing process and keep people healthier for longer.

Together with top scientists, policymakers and ordinary people, we will work to create the conditions for longevity science to translate into longer, healthier lives for all.

Vision

We envision a world where living longer means living better—where longer lifespans are matched by longer ‘healthspans’, free from age-related disability and disease, and where breakthroughs in longevity science are accessible to all.

In that future, people of all ages and backgrounds are empowered to thrive; governments, institutions and businesses anticipate and support longer, healthier lives; and science, policy and education work together to make healthy longevity a reality for people around the world.

Work with us

Join the mission to extend healthy lifespan

We are looking for mission-aligned researchers and professionals to advance longevity research and education globally with whom we will collaborate in the near future.

If you are passionate about longevity and have expertise in policy research, demographics, ageing biology, the biopharmaceutical industry, regulatory frameworks, fundraising, media and public relations, or any other area which could help us promote longer lives through longevity science, we’d love your help to combine rigorous analysis with original ideas to reshape how society approaches aging.

If you are rich in enthusiasm and raw ability but less in experience, and willing to learn in a supportive and stimulating environment, we would also like to hear from you.

If this is of interest, please send your CV and a brief note explaining your interest in longevity and in our work to contact@thelongevityinitiative.org. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

The Longevity Initiative.

We are an independent think tank and educational organisation dedicated to advancing longevity science in the UK and around the world.
